Industry: Furniture Manufacture
Project Background and Conditions:
    Anji is the only county that has been named as the chairs town of China by the Ministry of Light Industry. Now there are more than 400 makers of chairs and office furniture. Their products have a high share in the domestic market and are sold to the international market at a growth rate of 50%.
Project Progress: Zhejiang Dakang Furniture Co., Ltd. now has a factory with 60,000 m2 and produces 400,000 swivel chairs annually. In 2005 the company plans to input USD 2 million for technical reform.
Plan of Implementation: The project plans to introduce new production equipment and build new production line to expand the production from 400,000 chairs now to 600,000 chairs, and expand the factory to 200,000 m2.

Collaboration to Be Sought from Foreign Partner: We pursue the foreign partner who can input capitals and have marketing network in his country and area.
Status of Chinese Partner: Zhejiang Dakang Furniture Co., Ltd. established in 1992 and was certified to ISO9001 in 2000. Now the company employs 700 staff and produces 400,000 swivel chairs, 100,000 desks and 80,000 sofas annually. In 2004 the turnover of the company was RMB 180 million.
