Project Background and Conditions:
    The lining cloths are a necessity in the production of superior apparels at the present market. After China¡¯s access to WTO China will tremendously increase its shares in the global textiles market. If more than four billion global population each of them consume 0.2 square meter, then they will demand 1 billion meters of textiles. But as we know at present there are less than a hundred of textile machines that produce lining cloths and the annual output is less than 10% of the market demand. The gap between the output and demand is big. When people improve their lives, more lining cloths are consumed. The market demand for lining cloths is great.
Project Progress: The company has owned 50 mu of land in the development zone and will finish construction of a production building with 6,000 m2 and two floors shortly.
Financial Evaluation: The total investment amounts RMB 38 million, with an annual output of 20 million meters, sales income RMB 80 million, production costs and expenses RMB 54 million, tax RMB 8 million, profits RMB 18 million, profit rate 22.5% and investment payoff period 2.5 years.
Co-operation Form: Joint Venture or Cooperative
Collaboration to Be Sought from Foreign Partner: The proportion of investment from the foreign partner is negotiable. The Chinese counterpart is willing to cooperate with its partner on other projects.
Status of Chinese Partner: Huzhou Jiasheng Leather Apparels Co., Ltd. is a foreign trade oriented enterprise that engages particularly in exporting leather apparels, and famed in the leather industry as it is the associate chairman of Huzhou Leather industry board. The factory covers an area of 55,000 m2 with building area of 15,000 m2. Most of the workshop buildings were built in 2003 and 2004. in 2004 the company exports 160,000 pieces of leather apparels with a sales income of RMB 48 million, of which USD 3 million are for export.
