Project Background and Conditions:
    Meishan town is covered by 80% of forests and 3.5 million pieces of marketable bamboos. The town enjoys easy access and the transportation cost there is very low. The bamboo charcoal is made with five years old natural bamboos through special techniques. It is a pure natural product, a healthcare and environmental product that is advocated by the state. The product has the functions of anti-bacteria and wide applications. The bamboo vinegars produced in bamboo charcoal formation process have a unique function in agriculture and healthcare and it is highly welcomed in the Japanese, Korean, Hong Kong, European and USA market.
Project Progress: The total investment amounts USD 3.5 million. The project use the rich resources of bamboos in the town and develop several series of bamboo charcoal products, such as charcoal pieces, charcoal granules, charcoal powders, household charcoal product, kitchen charcoals, bath charcoals and charcoal decorative etc.

Status of Chinese Partner: Meishan Industrial Park is planned with an area of 4 km2, and now there is an area of 2.65 km2 that has put into reality with an accumulated investment amount of RMB 2,968 million. 67 enterprises have set their plants in the park and accomplished a total investment amount of RMB 2,867 million, of which there are 6 provincial high and new technology enterprises and 3 provincial groups, 20 major companies, 4 leading provincial enterprises and 5 joint ventures. The industrial park has built a transformer of 110 KVA and a power plant for its own purpose.
