Project Background and Conditions:
Huzhou Eastern Suburb Sewage Treatment Plant has put into operation since its completion in 2002. But because its auxiliary piping system is not perfected, the plant doesnĄ¯t give a full play on improving water quality in the river and the residentsĄ¯ lives in Huzhou. In order to enhance the effects of sewage treatment facilities, we must build the sewage collection piping project immediately.
Project Progress: The project feasibility study report has been reported to the provincial development and reform commission. The project has fulfilled an investment of RMB 13 million actually and built 40 km of piping network. A pumping station has been completed and already put into operation.
Plan of Implementation: The project plans to build a sewage piping network with 37,610 m long and five sewage piping stations. The total investment for the project amounts RMB 42,860,000.
Co-operation Form: Cooperative and Joint Venture
Status of Chinese Counterpart: The Investor Huzhou Zhili Urban Construction and Development Corporation is engaged in raising the funds and construction for the project. Under the administration of the town government, the company is an independent corporation with registered assets RMB 20 million. The major duties of the company are responsible for raising funds, build, maintenance and management for the city infrastructure and public facilities in Zhili town. The company is also the exclusive receiver for the land transferred in the town.
