Project Background and Conditions:
    The statistic survey shows that China has stepped into an aging society and the population in Zhejiang province has been aged since 1987, only after Shanghai for its aged extent. Anji County at the central area of the Yangtze River Delta is about 200 kilometers away from Shanghai and neighbors hangzhou City, and it is also within three-hour-drive to reach Nanjing, Suzhou and Ningbo and other major cities. Anji is a demonstration county for ecology of China with very obvious advantages for its ecological environment. The coverage rate of the vegetation in county has been as high as 75% while the forest coverage rate reaches 70%. The air quality of the county is rated Grade I and the water quality at above Grade I and II. So the environment in the county is very suitable for ages to live in. Anji county boasts very mature market and environmental conditions for building a premium resthome for elderly.
Project Progress: 200 mu of land at a selected site with easy access and beautiful landscape has been reserved for this project.
Plan of Implementation: The project will invest USD 10 million to build a comprehensive resthome facility for ages with the functions of residence, entertainment, education, healthcare and nursing.
Financial Evaluation: The pay-off period of the project is about 8 years.
Co-operation Form: Foreign Wholly Owned or Cooperative
Collaboration to Be Sought from Foreign Partner: The foreign partner will be expected to cooperate with Anji County Welfare Home. The project is concentrated to adopt the elderly who live along in this county.
Preferential Conditions Contributed by Chinese Partner: The project will enjoy the preferential policy for the welfare enterprises of the civil administration promulgated by the state and for the foreign invested ventures stipulated by the local government.
Status of Chinese Partner: Anji County Welfare Home is a subsidiary unit under Anji County Bureau of Civil Administration.
